Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, inspected a site near Korle Bu Teaching hospital for the construction of a soup kitchen, school, and accommodation for street children in Accra.
According to the Vice President, it is estimated that there are over 60,000 street children in Accra, and therefore there is the need to get these children into school as well as provide them skills training.
Dr. Bawumia was joined by the Chief Executive of Accra Metropolitan Assembly, (AMA), Mohammed Adjei Sowah, and Rev Father Andrew Campbell of the Christ the King Church.
