Veep’s wife donates books to police basic schools

Wife of Ghana’s Vice President, Mrs. Samira Bawumia has donated books to Police Basic Schools to encourage the children to cultivate the habit of reading.

The donation forms part of her “Library-in-the-Box project”, an initiative which endeavours to provide books to schools.

During her interaction with the pupils she said that “the world belongs to those who read” and encouraged them to ask questions about their experiences and surroundings. Also, she hinted that more books will be donated to the Police Schools in the cause of time.

Mrs. Bawumia who was accompanied by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei South, Ahmed Arthur, Metropolitan Director of Education, Abanfo Stephen and their Circuit Supervisor of Ghana Education, Abanfo Stephen, promised to donate more library books to the Police Schools.
