The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, says the introduction of the verification machine for students writing this year’s examination is to check impersonation.

The verification machine process is the first of its kind and the first time that the Council is introducing this at the West African Secondary School Examination, WASSCE.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Public Relations Officer of WAEC, Agnes Teye Cudjoe said there are back-up machines at every examination centre for the verification of students.
