The head coach of the Cameroon female national team, Joseph Brilliant Ndoko Touongo, says, his side is determined to do their best in their last group match at this year’s Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) against a hungry host, Ghana.

Cameroon will play Ghana, on Friday, November 23, at the Accra Sports Stadium in in what could prove to be the group decider.

With Ghana’s qualifying chances looking bleak as compared to Cameroon, who has six points from two games already, the Black Queens are expected to give in their all to sail through.

However, Ndoko said they would not be intimidated by the desperation of the host for a win, adding that, they were only looking at themselves and not their opponents.
“We are going to play the host, but we are determined to do our best. I’m not dealing with mathematics, it’s a competition and we are well prepared to face the host nation tomorrow,” he said.

“A look at the Ghana team shows that the players have individual qualities, but if you understand the game, you will do everything possible for your team. This game is about what you are capable of doing, thus to get what you want and not looking at your opponents.”
