We Are Going Digital – Korle-Bu CEO

The chief executive officer of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Dr. Daniel Asare has assured Ghanaians of new Innovative Ideas that the Hospital will offer and that everything would be done by digitalization system.

In a New Year message to Ghanaians, he said the hospital is very grateful for their endless support to the service of the Hospital.

Dr. Asare affirmed that they are moving forward by introducing more medical services for the benefit of patients in high esteem at the centre of the Hospital. He added that, “we are here to save lives and provide service delivery at all the departments and units of the Hospital.”

He asked all Ghanaians to stay alive, and warned that every soul is precious to them, adding that, “that is why we are transforming the Hospital into a digital system where everything would be digital to make the services easier.”

The Digital system will be used for the collections of Hospital files, records, research performances of the Hospital at all level.

“These will help us to achieve an evident based practice of a modern Hospital across the world, and that 2020 is a year of Action for the Hospital whereby everything would be done professionally with good ethics and standards of a world class Hospital.”

He said the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is being rated as one of the best Hospitals in the sub-region, and the largest Hospital in the country with qualified medical doctors and non-medical staff.

“We recently received a certificate of recognition from the Ghana Medical Facility and Management for quality control and standard of the Hospital and lots of Awards have been received by KBTH for its customer service as the best Hospital in the country and more are still counting.”

“We are not sleeping at all. We work to meet the needs of our patients, and make sure we don’t delay in our services in all our Departments and Units such as Sickbay, Labour Room, Surgical Room, Children Department, Pharmacy, and Laboratory and among others.”

Dr Asare said: “though there are challenges, we still meet up with our customer care, service delivery and standard of the Hospital and expansion is ongoing by the help of our donors and government with our small contributions to the growth of the Hospital.”

He concluded that all we want to see is the progress of the Hospital to be one of the best in facilities and customer service to save life.
