The Vice Chancellor, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Professor John Gyapong, said the University was exploring strategies to enhance existing infrastructure to provide conducive environment for teaching and learning.

He said the University was conscious of challenges students were facing regarding transportation and was working hard to fix that too.

The Vice Chancellor said this at the sandwich matriculation of the University in Ho.

He said the University was inviting local entrepreneurs to invest in transportation on its campuses and asked the students to make good use of the interventions to achieve excellence through critical thinking skills.

Prof. Gyapong said the University frowned on examination malpractices and warned that culprits would be sanctioned.

He urged them to cultivate the spirit of discipline, saying no human endeavour attained desired success without discipline.

The Vice Chancellor asked them to go by the tenets of Matriculation Oath and be guided by the rules and regulations in the students’ handbook.

“…you were admitted as an individual and you will graduate as such, you are therefore solely responsible for all your actions. You are adults and so you will be treated as such. You need self-discipline and effective time management to excel.”
