‘We’re delivering on the change Ghanaians voted for in 2016’- Finance Minister

The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, says in line for objective of building a strong a economy for jobs and prosperity, government outlined a number of priority projects for the 2019 budget.

He said, “they include maintaining macro economic stability, mordenising agriculture, provision of efficient infrastructure, industrialisation, private sector growth and entrepreneurship social intervention policies and financial sector clean up.”

Presenting the 2019 mid year budget review of the government to Parliament Monday, July 29, he revealed that government is delivering on the real change that Ghanaians voted for.

“Am happy to announce that these priority projects are on and we’re delivering on the real change that Ghanains voted so massively for in December 2016.”

“In the last 31 on months, year after year, budget after budget, together with the active support of the people and businesses, we are building a confident, stronger and ambitious economy.”

“The shared progress that we are making is real and the credit for this success is in fact a shared one with the people who were elected to lead, serve and obey.”

He however added that the country faces serious risk and challenges.

“It must be stressed that we continue to face serious risk and challenges which we must with the support of the people tackle head-on because these risk and challenges combine to slow our efforts to improve with urgency and discipline.”
