Western North Regional Coordinating Council and the Regional Directorate of Health Services are putting in place preventive measures against contracting Coronavirus since the region shares boundaries with Cote D’ivoire.

Deputy Western North Regional Minister, Alex Djornuboah Tetteh, made this known in an interview with Radio Ghana at Sefwi Wiawso.

He said though the Ghana Health Service is putting measures in place to prevent any outbreak, there is a need for the public to keep their environment clean and observe personal hygiene.

He commended the people for their high turn out in the maiden Regional celebration of Ghana’s Independence last week and urged them to continue to help build the newly created Region.
