Several categories with outstanding individuals and groups were honoured at the SWAG Awards night event, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on the 15th of November 2025. The annual event takes place to honour and celebrate excellence, dedication and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship.

This year, 30 award categories were presented, recognizing over 40 outstanding individuals and groups whose contributions continue to shape Ghana’s sports narrative. From trailblazing legends to emerging stars, the night reflected unity, pride, and the power of sports to inspire a nation.

Obaponba Adu mints won the award of Badminton player of the year

Table Tennis player of the year category was won by Emmanuel Kummey and James Marfo

Fuseinu Issah won the Wrestler of the Year

Vivian Nakor won the award of Hockey Player of the year

Para Athlete of the year -Zinabu Issa Weight lifter of the Year -Emmanuel Amo Boateng

The swimmer of the year was awarded to Joselle Alice Mensah

Arm wrestler of the year -Mabel Yeboah

Student Athlete of the Year -Philip Tetteh- Male ,Moslina Adu- Female

Boxer of the Year -Mathias Ashitey

Discovery of the year -Yayra Akos Agozi- Female ,Michael Agyapong Mensah -Male

Dedication and Valour-Portia Boakye , Yaw Agyemang, Meritorious Award of the year -Moses Adu and Fusseini Akuetey Addy. Female home base footballer of the year -Comfort Yeboah. Female footballer of the year – foreign base
Chantelle Boye Hlorkah. Male Athlete of the year -Abdul -Rasheed Saminu. Male home base footballer of the Year -Benjamin Asare. Male footballer of the year- foreign based
Antoine Semenyo

Club of the year – police ladies

Coach of the year – James Kwesi Appiah

Referee of the year -Daniel Laryea

Swag top 5 federations – Ghana Arm wrestling ,Ghana badminton ,Ghana Cricket federation ,Ghana Weight lifting and Ghana Rugby federation

National team of the year -Athletic 4by 100 meters

Life time achievement awards -Barisford, Asamoah Gyan, Andrew Ayew,Stephen Appiah, Anthony Yeboah and Azumah Nelson

Special awards: Women’s football -Adjoa Bayour, Athletics- Margret Simpson

Ambassadors of swag -Kwadwo Asamoah, Michael Essien, Osei Samuel Kuffor ,Abedi Ayew Pelle- outstanding footballer, Azumah Nelson and Alberta Sackey

Sport Administrator of the year -Evans Yeboah

Sport journalist of the year -Bill Eshun
