One out of three married women in Ghana experience violence and other physical punishments in the hands of their current or previous partners.
At its 2020 dialogue on violence against girls and young women held in Accra, the Ghana Girls Guides Association is advocating increased public education and sensitisation programmes for both men and women to help reduce such incidences.
