Two Skate Soccer teams are scheduled to battle for supremacy in the grand finale of the 2019 MTN Skate Soccer league at the Accra sports stadium.
The event which is expected to happen on Saturday, November 30 will see Accra Giants and Ashanti Warriors battling for exaltation to put a seal on their supremacy.
Earlier this year, Ashanti Warriors recorded a 3-2 win over Accra Giants to be crowned regional champions in Kumasi. The defeat gingered the visitors to grab victories over Western Tigers and Zongo Lions to revive their hope of winning the ultimate in the game expected to be enthralling finals against their sworn rivals.
“We are looking forward to a very charged atmosphere when the two teams meet which promises to be fireworks. The Accra team is poised for the crucial encounter same as the Kumasi team.”
“I am very grateful to our sponsors MTN and Binatone who believed in this project of taking these guys off the street which will in the end bring back smiles on the faces of the physically challenged.” The president of International Federation of Skate Soccer, Albert Frimpong, told reporters in Accra.
An IFSS event, Skate Soccer is game dedicated to polio survivors who are physically challenged members of the society with keen interest of driving them away from the streets and to offer them the platform to exhibit their talents through the game of soccer.
