The Senior National Football Team, the Black Stars yesterday beat Sao Tome and Principe 3 – 1 in an AFCON qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Stars dominated the game right from the onset and made their intentions known when Nicholas Opoku headed home a Mohammed Kudus cross from a corner kick on the 12th minute.
After some exchanges, Jordan Ayew registered Ghana’s second goal with a spot kick after he was fouled on the 31st minute.
Defender Baba Rahman made it three with a tap in the 60th minute.
Their opponents pulled a goal back when Tniesta pounced on a faulty pass from goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
Ghana has thus qualified for next year’s AFCON, after topping group C.
