Fenerbahce SK, a Turkish Super Lig team, has officially announced the acquisition of Ghana defender Alexander Djiku.

The experienced defender secured a three-year contract with Fenerbahce following his successful stint with Racing Strasbourg in France.

Djiku’s move signifies the conclusion of a significant chapter for his former club, Racing Strasbourg while marking an exciting new phase for the ambitious Turkish giants.

The completion of Djiku’s signing was confirmed by Fenerbahce after the Black Stars defender successfully underwent his mandatory medical examinations on Monday morning.

“Fenerbahçe has recruited French-born Ghanaian national defender Alexander Djiku for 3+1 years.

“Our Manager Selahattin Baki and our Sporting Director Mario Branco also took part in the signing ceremony held at Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.

“Welcome to our family,’ Alexander says to Djiku; We wish you many victories and championships with our Fenerbahce,” parts of the club statement said.

Following his signing, Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku is set to swiftly integrate into the Fenerbahçe squad and commence training with his new teammates in preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 football season.
