Be proud of being part of this squad- Milovan Rajevac to Players

The Head Coach of the Senior National male team, the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac, has charged his players to be proud of themselves for being part of the Black Stars squad for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers double-header against Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Coach Milovan trained with a full squad for the first time on Tuesday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium at 4 pm local time. All 27 players invited by the Head Coach were present at the training and the Coach described the session as successful.

“Be proud to be part of this setup, be proud because you are representing your country. The only way we can do this is to do this together, thank you,’’ he said.

The Black Stars are seeking to get back to winning ways following the 1-nil loss to South Africa in the 2nd Group G game. The Black Stars who began the World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Ethiopia on matchday one, sit second in Group G with 3-points after two matches.

27 players and the technical team left Accra on Tuesday morning and started training immediately for the double-header.

Milovan Rajevac’s charges host the Warriors at the Cape Coast Stadium in a crucial Group G clash, before clashing with them again in Harare on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, their opponents Zimbabwe trained in Accra ahead of Saturday’s clash.

in a related development, the Black Stars will test their readiness against Central Regional Champions, Soccer Intellectuals in Cape Coast.

All FIFA World Cup qualifiers will be live on GTV Sports+ and all GBC Radio and TV channels as well as Digital channels platforms.
