Captain of the Senior National Soccer team, Andre Morgan Dede Ayew is optimistic Ghana will record an emphatic victory over the Walia Ibex of Ethiopia.

Addressing the media in a mandatory FIFA press Conference, at the Press Center, of the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the talisman said he believes in the squad available in honesty and assures the team will do everything possible to clinch the needed victory for the nation.

“This happened to be two generations of a squad, I am very happy with the squad that are here honestly, we work really well, the team is gelling well, everything is moving on very well. We have been in Cape since Monday. Everything is ok as you can see there is a lot of quality in the team. So I am convinced and assured that the players that are going to represent the nation are all ready to make the nation proud. With a lot of young players in the team, we have Senior players to guide them just like how I was guided by Senior players in the past we will do everything possible to guide them. The Black Stars is not for anyone so I am here today tomorrow am gone and I believe there are many talented players here to take over.” he said.

After failing to secure qualification to Russia 2018, the 4-time African Champions are leaving no stone unturned to be in Qatar 2022, having booked their slot in Cameroon 2021 AFCON which is slated for January 2022.

While the West African nation will be battling it out with their East African side, South Africa’s Bafana Bafana will be at the National Sports Stadium in Harare to take Zimbabwe’s Warriors in the other Group G game.

Ghana will do without Arsenal star midfielder Thomas Partey who has been ruled out of the game with an ankle injury. Kudus Mohammed – Ajax Amsterdam, Joel Fameyeh, Tariq Fosu and Benson Anang.

The Black Stars opened camp in Cape Coast on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 and will play Ethiopia on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 7pm.

All FIFA World Cup Qualifiers would be live on GTV Sports+ and all GBC Radio and TV channels as well as Digital channels platforms.
