The second week of the CAL Bank Beach Soccer Super was held in Cape Coast with Young Sharks and Marine Stars becoming the regional representatives in the finals at the national level.Young Sharks emphatically beat Sea Lions by 6-1 in the finals to lift the giant trophy with 8points on the league log.
The round-robin format saw Marine Stars picking the other available slot for the finals after placing second on the table with 5points followed by Sea Rovers with 3points whiles Sea Sailors languished at the bottom with no point.
With the purpose of popularizing and developing the sport nationwide on a pilot basis, the tournament attracted 4 teams including Sea Rovers, Sea Sailors, Marine Stars and eventual winners Young Sharks for the exciting two day competition which took place at the Oasis Beach in Cape Coast.
Two teams each from Western, Volta, Central regions and four from Greater Accra will converge in a yet be announced date and venue for the national festival where it is expected to create platform for the national team coaches to select players for national assignments.
