Cheetah FC donates to special olympics Ghana

As part of their 10 years anniversary, second division side Cheetah FC have made presentation to Special Olympics Ghana ahead of their world games in Abu Dhabi.

In a short ceremony which took place at the premises Dzorwulu Special School saw the management of the Kasoa based club donating sets of jerseys, footballs, training bibs, cones, six (6) boxes of bottle water, T- rolls and a cash of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis to aid their preparation for the games scheduled for March 14th -21st, 2019.

Players of Cheetah FC took advantage of the ceremony to play 5 aside training game with the Special Olympics Games players to fraternize with them.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Cheetah FC Abdul Haye Yartey emotionally expressed his joy in contributing his part to bring smiles on the faces of these athletes. He therefore urged all the premier and division one clubs to come to the aid of these students.

Nana Wereko Ampim-Opoku who is a Board Member of Special Olympics Ghana who received the items on behalf of the team thanked Mr. Yartey and his team for this kind gesture.

According to him, the items have come at the right time to lessen the financial burden attached to the preparation for the world games.

He however, asked the corporate world to come to their assistance to be able to do more than they did in the last edition in Los Angeles.

Ghana will compete in 7-aside and 5-aside soccer, athletics and dancing competition in the weeklong event.
