Coach Kwesi Appiah names squad for AFCON 2021 qualifiers

Ahead of their AFCON 2021 qualifier, Black Stars Coach Kwasi Appiah has named the squad who will feature in the double header against South Africa and São Tomé and Principe. The game against South Africa will be played Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Earlier this year, the Black Stars were booted out of the AFCON 2019 in the round of 16. The Black Stars are housed in Group C with South Africa, Sudan and São Tomé and Principe.
Ghana is currently ranked 51st in the world while South Africa is at the 72nd position. 22 players including two local-based Felix Annan of Kotoko and Mumuni Shafiu of Ashantigold.
The last time the stars won the tournament was in 1982.
