Struggling Manchester United visited Copenhagen in their Champions League Group A encounter. The Red Devils ultimately took the lead in the early minutes of the first half before their star striker, Marcus Rashford, was sent off.

United went ahead when their new signing, Ramus Højlund, got his name on the scoreboard 3 minutes into the game. He also added his second as the game gradually progressed in the 28th minute.

Manchester United were in pole position after Højlund got them their second goal. Unfortunately, they were downed by a man in the 44th minute. Marcus Rashford got sent off for a late tackle on the ankle of Elias Jelert.

Mohamed Elyounoussi’s took the opportunity by scoring 1 minute after the incident. The former Southampton man’s goal gave his team some spark.

Copenhagen were immediately awarded a penalty after their first goal due to a handball from Harry Maguire. Diogo Goncalves stepped up and did what his teammates and fans expected of him by putting the ball past Onana.

United held on, considering they were going down by a man, and kept the home side from causing any further damage before reclaiming the lead through Bruno Fernandes’ penalty.

They went up by 3:2 before getting peak back with two goals by the home side to secure a 4:3 victory over the Red Devils.
