Daniele de Rossi, coach Claudio Ranieri bid farewell to Roma

On Sunday, the Stadio Olimpico becoame an emotional ground for both funs and players of AS Roma in the Italian Serie A. Yes, Roma failed to qualify for Europe’s Elite League (Champions League) but that wasn’t the main reason for the emotional state of both parties at the Stadio Olimpico.

But the departure of both long-term club captain and legend Daniele de Rossi and coach Claudio Ranieri were the reason for such state of mood at the Stadio Olimpico..

The 2006 FIFA world Cup winning player Daniel de Rossi earlier this month announced his intension of leaving the club after serving it for close to two decades.

Coach Claudio Ranieri was given the nod to take the Giallorossi to the end of the season after his predecessor Eusebio di Francesco was shown the door in March of this year.

Ranieri himself who was once a football player before becoming a coach and having the chance to coach Roma from 2009 to 2011 has always been a top fun of the Giallorossi.
