Abdul Fatawu Issahaku‘s impressive campaign with Leicester City has seen him win his first ever club trophy with the Foxes after helping them dominate the English Championship this season. Leicester City cruised past Preston with a 3:0 victory.
Abdul Fatawu has been the spark in Leicester City’s attack, adding to the experience of Jamie Vardy upfront. The young Ghanaian has been involved in five goals in his last two games, scoring three and assisting two, with a notable highlight being his hat-trick against Southampton.
The 20-year-old delivered once again, as his individual brilliance was key in unlocking the defensive line of Preston as he assisted Kasey McAteer to head home the Foxes third goal after Jamie Vardy had already put them two goals ahead.
Abdul Fatawu has created the most big chances (32) in the Championship this season with Leicester and also ranks among the top five players for successful take-ons (2.86 per 90).
The young talent has been a spotlight for the 2016/2017 Premier League Champions since joining them on loan last summer from Sporting Lisbon, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists, with the deal for a permanent transfer inching ever closer to happening after playing more than 60% of the games agreed by both teams.
