The Reds title chase continued as Roberto Firmino’s winning goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Thursday evening extended their victory which sends them 16 points clear of the table with a game in hand.

The visitors took the lead in the early stages of the first half through, Jordan Henderson who headed them in front from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s corner

Sadio Mane was substituted in the 33rd minute of the first half after picking up a hamstring injury and was replaced by Takumi Minamino, Liverpool’s January signing but was unable to tune in to Salah’s wavelength.

Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez teamed up to give the home side a second-half equalizer against Liverpool six minutes after the break.

Raul Jimenez was found unmarked inside the Liverpool area and had the task of heading the ball past Alisson.

Wolves seemed to be on the verge of ending Liverpool’s long unbeaten run in the premier league.

However, Roberto Firmino stole the occasion by scoring a second goal for the away team with just six minutes of normal time remaining.
