A Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vandapuye in an interview with GBC sports, praised the head Coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, James Akwesi Appiah for making his tactical abilities come bare on the final group  match against the Wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau at Suez Stadium.

After a poor performance in the first half the black stars came in strongly from recess to show a classy performance against their Guinea-Bissau counterparts with the coming on of Afriyie Acquah in 66 minutes to replace Kwabena Owusu who got tired.

The presence of Afriyie Acquah gingered fresh energy into the composition of team making things very difficult for the wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau.

Thomas Partey and Kwadwo Asamoah solidified the midfield and then when they took their turn in the 83rd and 86th minutes respectively.

The team will resume training today after a day off Thursday.

The Black Stars will now play Tunisia in the Last 16 stage on Monday at the Ismaïlia Stadium

Kick off is at the 7pm Ghana time.
