Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC’s Top Sports Journalist, Benjamin Willie Graham, has been adjudged ‘’Commentator of the Year’’, at the Ghana Media Personality Awards, 2021.
The event held at the Accra Digital Center, on Saturday, August 21, 2021, saw Mr. Willie Graham beat competitors Nana Darkwa Gyasi of Max TV and Prince Annang of Star Times, to win the award.
Mr. Willie Graham is one of Ghana’s leading commentator’s. Apart from participating in major competitions across the continent, his laurels include, featuring as an English Commentator at the 2018 Africa Nations Championship held in Morocco.
He is currently a presenter on Radio and Television (Uniiq FM & GTV Sports +)
Mr. Willie Graham spoke of what the award meant to him.
” It’s an honour for me and that means a huge responsibility on me to keep doing the right thing and making commentary very enjoyable to everyone’’.
He said it would also serve as a motivation to young talents.
” This award should serve as a motivation to anyone who wishes to venture into that arena and I know there are a lot of young guys out there who are doing a great job for their respective media houses’’.
Ghana Media Personality Awards is meant to bring together personalities in the Radio, Print, School and the Television industry in Ghana to create a larger media platform for promoting products.
