GFA Executive Council to elect Vice President on November 7

It is barely a week since the Ghana football Association saw a new face as its president and the major task for Ghana Football executive council (ExCo) is to elect a new vice president to work with President of the FA.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will elect a vice-president on November 7, 2019. What it also means is the vice-president who will be elected must be a member of the ExCo member of the GFA for the council to vote.

Unlike the previous years and administration, the president has the powers to elect anyone at all to be his vice-president but per the new rules and laws of the FA the members of the council will have to elect the vice-president.

And the vice president is expected to act in the absence of the president.

Many high profiled personalities have shown interest in the position to deputize the newly elected GFA President Kurt Okraku.

Randy Abbey, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hearts of lions and an ExCo member as well have filed for nominations too, he is seen as the person with most experiences in the game when it comes to Ghana football and is the perfect candidate for the job.

Mediama board chairman Dr. Toni Arbynn, is also in the race for the vice-president position. Under his leadership, the club has achieved a lot in these years by winning multiple silverwares

However, the CEO of Young Apostles, Samuel Anim Addo also fights for the slot.
