Ghana Football is set to resume on the 30th of October after President Akufo-Addo lifted restrictions on football activities imposed in March to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The Ghana Premier and Division One Leagues will restart  with a full regime of testing of the players, technical and management staff.

President Akufo-Addo said this on Sunday, September 20, 2020, during his 17th address to the nation on the measures taken by the government to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said no spectators will be allowed at the training centres, and, when actual competition resumes, seating at all stadia will be limited to 25% capacity to ensure social distancing.

He said wearing of masks by spectators at stadia will be mandatory.

He said the land and sea borders continue to remain closed to human passengers.
