Gonzalo Higuain says he will give everything he’s got to make a success of his time at Chelsea after finally completing his long-awaited move to Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine flew into London on Wednesday to undergo a medical and pen personal terms, though just missed the deadline to be registered in time to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.
Chelsea have struggled in attack recently, failing to score against both Spurs and Arsenal, but Higuain is ready to help change that.
Asked what qualities he will bring to the team, Higuain told Chelsea’s official website: ‘I always try to score goals, it’s something I love to do.’

‘And when they don’t go in, I try to help the team in other areas to make sure we win.’
‘I’m someone who is always trying to improve, day after day.’
‘I think the most important thing is to be humble, even when we make mistakes, and so when that happens I will always try to rectify that improve.’
‘For the rest, I’ll leave other people to give their opinions on me.’
‘I’m not someone who likes to talk too much about myself but I’m someone who tries to improve, and get the best out of myself and my team, at every opportunity.’
Higuain struggled on loan at AC Milan in the first half of the season, netting just six times, but manager Maurizio Sarri has been eager to reunite with a player who scored 36 times in their one and only season together at Napoli.
