Gone are the days where players stayed in the country and were dedicated to the Sport, according to Sports Commentator Kwabena Yeboah.
“Aside from buying the Stars for our top local teams, the good thing was that all of them stayed in the country but over a period we started getting hit by the exodus”.
Mr Yeboah, questioning how it’s going to be stopped, said legislation can not stop it and so it shouldn’t even be mentioned.
“So what will you do? You don’t stop it by legislation as suggested by people and so that is a no-go area”.
The Host of Sports Highlights on GTV Sports+ made it clear that it would be impossible for the teams to compete with North Africans. He said there have been situations where “teams are in the middle of Africa Competitions and are selling their players” citing Kotoko as one of those teams saying that they sold their number one striker last season when they were topping the league, but questioned how they were going to survive if they kept doing that.
Reiterating his stance on paradigm shift, said he is looking at a bigger picture beyond the transparency and the structures, adding that “we need strategic investors in these teams”.

Sports Commentator Kwabena Yeboah, however, commended Togbe Afede for trying for Accra hearts of oak but again stressed that they go beyond what is being done now.
Again in referenced to foreign investors taking over English Clubs and getting all the money and resources needed, Mr. Yeboah advised local management to emulate them.
