The time to the upcoming GFA general election is fast approaching and undeniably, the anxiety and excitement have reached a crescendo as the candidates for the various portfolios have intensified their campaign strategies.

On the Tuesday edition of Studio 5, GBC’s Gloria Peprah had a chit-chat with Lawyer Kweku Eyiah, an aspirant in the GFA Exco for Division One.

Speaking extensively, he stated the need to bring back the lost glory of Ghana Football.

Lawyer Kweku Eyiah became popular in Ghana after rejecting bribe from Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ exposé dubbed’ Number 12′ which was aired last year.

He stressed categorically that one of his visions for football in the country is to help do away with the mindset of an automatic win for teams playing at home in Division by fair or foul means.

In addition, he added that the good old days where Ghana was recognised to be the Brazil of African football with many relishing anytime Ghana played would be resurfaced when he is given the nod as an Exco member.

With his years of experience in football as an administrator and having solely amended the Division One statutes he will expand capacity to get the division working again at its optimum.

He stated that with the current statutes of the FA on disciplinary issues and rulings will be expedited to correct the bad image and wrong results to the game in Division One.

Kweku Eyiah finally appealed to the delegates to look at his proven track record and vote for him to better their lot.

Forty-eight members from Division one are expected to vote during the election on October 25th.
