Ghanaian Veteran Coach J.E Sarpong has advised the Ghana Football Association to overlook former Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac for the possible successor of CK Akunnor.

Speculations are wild in the media that the 3-Member Committee tasked to find the Senior National Team a Head Coach after the termination of Charles Akonnor’s contract, has settled on the Serbian trainer as the next Black Stars coach after negotiations with Herve Renard fell through over high wages of $ 100,000.

In an exclusive interview with GBC‘s Uniiq Sports, the vociferous Coach said the GFA should not go for Milovan as one of the possible candidates for the Black Stars job.

“Rajevac? Are you talking about Milo? I don’t know if he’s been contacted because if he has not been contacted they can’t consider him right, now do we draw our minds back the way this man left in the coach here do we remember what has changed in Ghana that he wants to come and coach Ghana again?, Is he not the one when we beat Serbia he refused to talk to Kwesi Appiah so what does he want here now what do we need as a country why do we recycle don’t you have anybody here, an African or somebody else apart from Rajevac and I want sound a word of caution there are other coaches apart from Rajevac, there are over fifty coaches who have applied for the job right there is this coach called Galo I think recently he was with Zambia have they not considered him or Milo is coming to take the job free of charge if he’s coming without pay then is a alright is okay because Ghana we like free things free but he’s coming for money then you better go for somebody else because the players Milo used in those times are no more the players he’s coming to meet so what they give in they give it out what is the direction of the GFA are they coming for a developmental coach or result oriented coach which one did they choose so they choose one and then choose the coach according to what they want’’, he posited.

Milovan Rajevac coached the Black Stars at the 2010 World Cup, where Ghana reached the Quarter Final in South Africa.

Reports say he will earn $ 4,500 as salary.
