Ghana and Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has pulled out of the qualifying match between Ghana and Madagascar.
The AFCON qualifier which is scheduled to take place on June 18, 2023 will be Ghana’s 5th match in the series. Ghana is housed in Group A alongside Central Africa Republic, Angola and Madagascar.
Coach Chris Hughton who invited 23 players will have to look for a replacement after Inaki pulled out due to injury.
In a statement posted on his social media, he reiterates that he is optimistic to return to the national team whenever the coach deems fit.
