Veteran Sports Writer, Ken Bediako says the National Team will develop and improve if the country starts building players from the Clubs.

Appearing on GTV Sports + program “Saving Our passion”, which has entered the second week, Mr. Bediako who has been a Sports Journalist for some many years said he believes the country is not investing enough in these clubs, but rather concentrating on the Black Stars who have brought disappointment to Ghanaians.

“Football is full of money, and if the Clubs are doing well, we will have a good National Team. We can’t have a weaker league and expect to produce better players for the National Teams, we need to come back to the basics”.

A lot of Ghanaians believe there is too much politics in the country’s sports, but Mr. Bediako said the country will get a lot of investors if there is transparency in its Sports. This he thinks will help revive the sporting discipline in Ghana.

He said until the authorities put up structures and regulations and enforce them, there will be a back and forth in the country’s football.

“During our glory days we had a system that gave us all the trophies we’ve won, currently we have no system and also Investors will only come when there is transparency in our football.”

To the Veteran Sports Writer, investment is key in the country’s sporting activities.
