The Red Devils crash out of the Champions League with a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at the Theatre of Dreams, adding to their nightmare in the competition by finishing at the bottom of Group A with just four points from six matches.

Manchester United showed no urgency in the first half by starting slow and allowing Bayern to take charge of affairs by mounting pressure on them. Ten Hag’s side looked a shadow of themselves, although fans expected them to give their all and qualify for the knockout round.

The second half saw some improvement from the home side after a questionable first half, but they weren’t purposeful enough with their possession, allowing Kingsley Coman, who was arguably the best player on the pitch, to put the ball past Onana after a brilliant assist from Kane in the 70th minute.

Bayern Munich finished top of Group A with 16 points, eight clear of Copenhagen, who secured the second spot.

Manchester United, on the other hand, will not even get the chance to qualify for the Europa League after finishing bottom, handing the qualification slot to Galatasaray, who finished third.
