NCSWC: Wrap Of Match Day 1

Match day 1 of the Normalisation Committee’s Special Women’s Competition has been honored at the various centres.

The tournament which seeks to be used as a justify your inclusion for the Wafu Zone B tournament as well as All Africa games came at the right time for the players and their administrators.

In Group A, Fabulous Ladies drew blank with Ashtown Ladies at the WESCO Park. With no goal in the local derby, Kumasi Sports Academy recorded a 3-2 victory over Supreme Ladies.  Two goals from ElShaddia Acheampong and one from Sandra Atingah.

In Group B, mother of twins Safia Abdul Rahman’s brace gave PearlPia Ladies the edge over Prison Ladies as the game ended 2-1. National Women’s Legue champions Ampem Darkoa won 2 -1 over Northern ladies. Grace Asantewaa and Ophelia Amponsah were on the scire sheet for Ampem Darkoa while Haruna Zeinab gave Northern Ladies a consolation.

At the Aggrey Memorial Park, it was a display of galaxy of stars as Lady Strikers shocked Hasaacas by pipping them 2-1.Soccer Intellectuals drew 1-1 with Elmina Sea Lions all in Group C.

In Group D, Samaria Ladies shocked Immigration as they won 2-1. Samaria Ladies Captain Leticia Adjei scored a brcae for her side before Faustina Kyeremeh pulled one back for the officers. Police Ladies won 1-0 against Halifax Ladies.

Match day 2 will be played on Wednesday.
