Reports say he tried acquiring Liverpool at £2bn last summer but could not succeed.

Mike Ashley who owns the club acquired it at £134.4m in 2007, but placed the club on the market since October 20017.

In December, he said he was “hopeful” the club will be sold to “an owner that will please everybody” after coming under lots of complaints on how he runs affairs of the club and his failure to invest whenever the transfer market is opened.

Terms have been agreed the deal might be closed at anytime possible says the representatives of Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They added “We view it as an honour to have the opportunity to build on the strong support, history and tradition of the club.”
