Preview: Match Day 2 of the NCWSC

Match day 2 of the Women’s Special Competition was full of twist and turns. The babies (Samaria Ladies and Pearlpia Ladies) swallowed the adults (Immigration and Prison Ladies). Pearlpia Ladies’ Safia Abdul Rahman left her twins at home and scored a brace.

Match day 2 promises to continue the sterling performances witnessed in match day 1. Group A will see Fabulous Ladies play host to Kumasi Sports Academy at the Wesley College Park. At the Police Depot Park in Kumasi, Ashtown ladies will slug it out with Supreme Ladies.

Abdullai Mukarama’s Northern Ladies will take on Sanford FA Cup Winner’s Prison Ladies at the Alui Mahama Stadium. Two time winners of the National Women’s League Ampem Darkoa will contend with Pearlpia Ladies all in Group B.

At the Bompeh Park, Coach Yussif Basigi will be hoping to win their first home game against Sea Lions. Lady Strikers vie with Soccer Intellectuals for Group C.

In Group D, Police Ladies will be hoping to arrest Immigration Ladies. However, will Immigration stop Police from crossing over to get any point? The other two civilians in group Samaria Ladies and Halifax Ladies will face each other at the Tema TDC park.

20 goals were scored in match day 1 from 17 scorers. Safia Abdul Rahman(Pearlpia Ladies), Leticia Adjei (Immigration Ladies) and ElShaddai Acheampong (Kumasi Sports Academy) scored a brace each.

All the matches will be played on Wednesday 13th March, 2019.
