Prof. Lydia Nkansah heads three-member committee to probe Kotoko

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has appointed Professor Lydia Nkansah – Dean of Faculty of Law, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to lead the three-member committee to investigate the affairs of Asante Kotoko.

A statement signed by the Chief of Staff of Manhyia Palace, Mr. Kofi Badu said Mr. Kofi Owusu – Registrar Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs and Mr. Lawrence Bruce Kyei – Private Legal Practitioner would be the other members of the committee.

The statement said the committee has four weeks to submit their report to the palace.

The Manhyia Palace earlier announced its decision to form a three-member committee to investigate Asante Kotoko following recent reports over player transfers, leading to the imposition of a $240,000 fine on Kotoko by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
