Story by Prince Ghalley
Antonio Rudiger has become Real Madrid’s first signing of the summer after the club missed out on French superstar Kylian Mbappé.
The Germany international, 29, who was linked with a move to both Real Madrid and Barcelona, and German champions Bayern Munich has eventually penned a four-year contract with the European champions on a free transfer.
The defender joined Chelsea in the 2017 transfer window from Roma.
Rudiger is regarded as one of the best defenders of his time and not just that but also a leader both on and off the pitch. With both his defensive and leadership capabilities, he won the Europa League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the Club World Cup for his former club Chelsea.
