NBA: Sixers extend winning streak in Eastern Conference

Sixers

Boston came into this contest with an exciting team. Jrue Holiday was tipped to be the man marking Joel Embiid. With Embiid’s aggressiveness in Celtic’s court, Celtic took advantage by forcing out different transition opportunities.

The Sixers extended their winning streak and took over the best record in the Eastern Conference by shooting Boston in the head with a 106-103 victory.

Although Sixers had a poor first quarter, they didn’t allow that bad energy to affect their second quarter with promising star Tyrese Maxey, who took advantage of any missed basket from Boston to create a fast break, forcing Boston to catch up with him.

Tyrese Maxey had one of his best games against Boston in his career, putting up 25 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Joel Embiid added a team-high 27, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks.

The Sixers defence was formidable for this victory considering their awful first quarter performance. They picked up from the second quarter to the fourth quarter and secured the much-needed victory.
