Former Vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Fred Pappoe has praised the Normalization Committee following revision of the statutes of the country’s football governing body.

The interim body was put in place by FIFA to steer the affairs after the dissolution of the Executive Committee in the wake of explosive documentary which unraveled an alleged corruption in Ghana football.

With the body given three (3) core mandates by FIFA to run day-to-day affairs of the FA, review the statutes to comply with art. 15 of FIFA’s statutes and organize elections had their revised statutes adopted by football people during the Extra Ordinary Congress held in Accra to pave way for election roadmap.

Speaking on GBC’s “The Game Show” on Uniiq 95.7FM in Accra on Monday, the GFA presidential aspirant who was an integral part of the ‘collapsed’ FA between 2005 and 2015 believes Dr Kofi Amoah led NC has excellently delivered on the aspect of revising the statutes.

“The NC has done well. I will give them high marks in respect to the statutes they reviewed which was adopted by us. If you look at what happened to our national teams and local football my conclusion is that the NC failed in that aspect of their mandate. So far this is what they have touched and can only rank them on the last one after the election which is yet to be organised.”
