”We want to have breakfast with President Akufo-Addo”, Hasaacas Ladies

The Chief Executive Officer of the Hasaacas Ladies F.C, a National Women’s Champion League in Ghana, Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare, has requested to have a breakfast meeting with the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo and some other government officials.

She requested to meet with the President during an interview on the GTV Breakfast Show on November  23,  2021. 

Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies F.C. is a Ghanaian Professional Women’s Football Club based in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. The club featured in the Ghana Women’s Premier League. Now deemed Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions.

Expressing how she felt after the game, Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare stated that “10minutes into the game, I realized that something was not right because I knew my team and I realized my Midfield was not working so I told myself that whatever happens, we have come far”.

Again, the CEO pleaded with the government of Ghana to secure jobs for the Hasaacas Ladies in order to reduce the burden on the team since the Ladies usually train only in the mornings and evenings. 

She added that Confederation of African Football (CAF) has requested that the footballers be paid monthly to make it very professional. Mrs. Nsiah Asare also outlined other challenges the Team is facing such as the lack of quality football pitches for training, transportation amongst others.

”We need an Astroturf”, she noted. 

Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare, CEO of Hasaacas ladies concluded by saying that “H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo if you are watching us this morning, we want to meet you and have breakfast with you”. 

Hasaacas Ladies, a Sekondi-based club, put up a sterling performance in the inaugural Women’s Champions League as they traveled to the finals of the competition in Cairo, Egypt. 

Hasaacas Ladies was formed as a Women’s Club by Sekondi Hasaacas F.C. Football Management.
