Dormaa based Aduana Stars December 29 defeated International Allies by four goals to nil  at the Agyemang Badu I Park on Day One of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League Season on Sunday.

The match kicked off at exactly 3pm with Referee Abdul Latif taking charge of proceedings in a game in which playing good football was as important for the fans at Dormaa as the scoreline.

Their joy arrived on the 13th minute as a headed pass from former Karela right back Isaac Kwain meet the golden head of Yahaya Mohammed, who wasn’t going to miss a gift from heaven.

Five minutes later, Isaac Kwain got his second assist of the day as his punch cross ball meet the stretched left leg of Yahaya Mohammed who was standing metres away from the goal line.

First half ended with Aduana Stars leading Inter Allies by 2 goals. In the 2nd half, Yahaya Mohammed got his perfect Hat trick to crown his glittering performance on the 73rd minute, when substitute Benjamin Owusu formerly of Techiman XI Wonders gifted him a pass that had the empty net crying for a shot from his right foot.

Another substitute Justice Anane crowned the ecstasy of the home fans on the 92nd minute as his left footed shot which got a slight deflection swerved goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah into the Inter Allies net.

At the end hat trick hero Yahaya Mohammed named the man of the Match receiving a match ball from the Match officials present.

Aduana Stars now top the league table after Match day One of the 2019/2020 league and look to  continue their fine form in Accra next week as they meet Great Olympic on Match Day 2.
