Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has officially signed a two-year contract with Nottingham Forest women’s team, marking a huge step in her club career following a successful spell at London City Lionesses.

The 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations standout completes the transfer from the WSL2 champions during the summer window, eager to make an impact in England’s top flight.

Nottingham Forest welcomed Boye-Hlorkah with an announcement highlighting her pivotal role in London City Lionesses’ promotion season, where she notched six crucial goals, including a decisive header on the final day that secured the title against Birmingham City.

The club expressed high hopes that her goal-scoring prowess and key experience will bolster their attacking options as they continue to build momentum.

Speaking after signing, Boye-Hlorkah expressed her excitement about joining Nottingham Forest and being part of a squad with a remarkable recent season.

“I’m excited to join the Club and play with this group of players. The team had an incredible season last year, history is being created here, and I’m grateful that I can be a part of continuing to build something special at the Club,” she said.

Nottingham Forest women’s head coach Carly Davies praised the Ghanaian forward’s quality and versatility, citing her prior experience at top clubs including Everton and Aston Villa.

“Having worked with Chaney previously, I know the quality, experience, and versatility she brings. Her ability to influence games, both with and without the ball, will be a huge asset as we continue to push for success”; Davies remarked.
