The Black Satellites, Ghana’s U-20 national team, will kick off their residential camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday, May 26, 2025. This marks the beginning of intensive preparations for the maiden edition of the WAFU Cup, a regional competition featuring top youth teams from West Africa. The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 15 to June 30, 2025, providing a vital platform for emerging talent in the region.

Players invited for the camping are expected to report to the team’s base by 10:00 a.m. on the first day. The technical team has assembled a strong squad comprising players who recently represented Ghana at the 2025 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Egypt. The selected mix of players aims to give Ghana a competitive edge at the regional tournament. The team is building towards future continental and global competitions, with the WAFU Cup serving as an important stepping stone. The squad’s composition reflects the Ghana Football Association’s commitment to nurturing young players and providing them with valuable international experience.

The Ghana Football Association remains dedicated to the development of national teams at all levels. It is confident that the Black Satellites will rise to the occasion and perform admirably at the WAFU Cup, showcasing the country’s promising football talent.
