The Ghana Esports Federation (GESF), the sole regulatory body for esports in the country, is set to stage one of the biggest Esports events in Ghana.
The event, dubbed the Esports Championship, will be a competitive tournament featuring the nation’s top esports athletes.
The growing community of esports gamers, enthusiasts, and stakeholders will witness a fresh array of games and the seamless organization of events at the national level.
The Esports Championship will feature a variety of games, including NBA 2K25, TEKKEN 8, STREET FIGHTER 6, MORTAL KOMBAT, EFOOTBALL 25, and EAFC 25.

The championship, organized by the esports regulatory body, aligns with their mandate to promote and popularize the sport while consistently engaging with athletes who form the core of their sporting mission.
This is the moment to distinguish between novice and experienced competitors; this is the moment to identify the genuinely skilled Esports athletes.
“The National Esports champions have been anticipated since the day we gained recognition, and I am pleased that the long-awaited initiative is about to commence, starting from Accra and followed by the other regions”, GESF President Igor Boumekpo said.
The Ghana Esports Federation remains committed to developing and safeguarding esports in the country, as enshrined in its statutes. The Esports Championship’s dates, times, and location will be announced in due course.\
