FIFA has unveiled a redesigned Champions Badge that will appear on the shirts of FIFA Club World Cup winners, marking a new era for the tournament ahead of its 2025 expansion.

The updated badge retains its gold and white colours but features a minimalist circular design with concentric rings and the FIFA wordmark at the base. The words “WORLD CHAMPIONS” wrap around the crest, replacing the previous trophy-centered, vertical format.

The redesign coincides with FIFA’s confirmation that the Club World Cup will become a 32-team tournament held every four years—similar to the men’s and women’s World Cups. The expanded format begins in 2025.

Under the new schedule, the Champions Badge will be worn by the reigning winners for a full four-year cycle, up from the previous one-year period.

Since the competition began in 2000, past winners include Corinthians (2000, 2012), São Paulo (2005), Internacional (2006), AC Milan (2007), Manchester United (2008), Barcelona (2009, 2011, 2015), Internazionale (2010), Bayern Munich (2013, 2020), Real Madrid (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2024), Liverpool (2019), Chelsea (2021), and Manchester City (2023).

The 2024 edition, rebranded as the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, saw Real Madrid beat Pachuca 3–0 in the final.

The redesigned badge will remain on the shirts of the reigning world champions until the next Club World Cup in 2029.
