Tottenham Hotspur’s new signing Mohammed Kudus lit up his Premier League debut with a dazzling performance in a 3-0 win over Burnley, drawing high praise from teammate Richarlison.
The Ghanaian midfielder assisted both of Richarlison’s goals in Saturday’s clash, combining flair, precision, and timing to devastating effect. His second assist set up a spectacular acrobatic volley from the Brazilian, already being tipped as one of the goals of the season.
Richarlison was full of admiration for his new teammate, expressing delight at their instant connection.
“I’m so happy with this guy. I think next week he deserves to score because he’s working so hard for the team. I’m really happy with the game. The gaffer said it was crucial before the game, and I’m glad it paid off,” Richarlison said after the match.
Kudus, however, insisted that his game goes beyond showmanship. He stressed that his focus is on execution, timing, and creating moments that both win matches and entertain supporters.

“Part of the main reason I came here is to play in the position I want and to be in a role where I can entertain the fans, because I believe that’s what the game is about,” Kudus said.
“But most importantly, it’s doing it at the right time. Good timing, higher positions in the game, so it’s good we got the win and enjoyed part of the game as well.”
The performance highlighted a budding partnership between Kudus and Richarlison, one that could prove pivotal in Tottenham’s attacking play this season.
