Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has confirmed his participation in the fifth edition of the All Star Festival, scheduled to take place on July 11, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium

Speaking ahead of the event, Appiah praised the consistency of the festival and commended the organisers for creating an initiative that continues to attract football legends and entertain fans year after year.

According to the former captain, the steady turnout of players is a clear indication that the event has earned the respect and support of the football community.

“Every year, the players keep showing up. That means they are happy with what is being done and enjoy being part of it. This year, I will definitely be there. It’s always a great atmosphere, and it’s an opportunity to connect with the fans and fellow players.”

The Chief Executive of BAC Group, Dr. Ernest Koranteng, also highlighted the importance of the festival, describing it as more than just a football event.

He noted that the festival provides a platform for retired stars to interact with the next generation while entertaining supporters and celebrating the unity of Ghanaian football.

“It’s all about entertainment. We have to entertain and show ourselves to the public. It’s also an opportunity to mingle with the younger players and continue building relationships within the football fraternity.”

The 2026 All Star Festival is expected to bring together former football stars, current players, celebrities, and fans for a full day of football, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Tickets for the event are priced at GH¢20 for regular admission and GH¢100 for premium access, and are available via Egotickets.

There will be something for everyone at the All Star Festival! Children can enjoy a dedicated kids’ playground, while young football lovers will have the opportunity to participate in a football clinic and take photos with some of their favourite stars.

Fans can also look forward to an exciting clash between PRESEC and Accra Academy SHS, explore a massive gathering of vendors, gain valuable insights at the Sports Business Series, and round off the day with the much-anticipated All Star Game. It promises to be a fun-filled experience for the entire family.
