The West Africa Football Union B (WAFUB) Zonal Executive Committee has officially approved new dates for the 2025 edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Zonal Qualifiers. This announcement follows a thorough review of the operational needs required to successfully organize the tournament, prompting a scheduling update aimed at improving preparations.
The qualifiers will now take place from August 23 to September 4, 2025, maintaining Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, as the host city.
While the location remains unchanged, the shift in the competition timeline is designed to provide organizers with ample time to finalize key logistical and operational arrangements before the matches begin.
This move signals WAFUB’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and professionally run event.

Further details about the competition will unfold soon, with the group stage draw scheduled to take place next week. The precise date of the draw is yet to be confirmed but will be promptly communicated to all participating member associations and stakeholders, enabling clubs to prepare for their matchups with clarity.
Clubs from all member associations have been formally notified of the revised dates and urged to adjust their preparations accordingly. Ghana’s representative in the tournament will be Police Ladies, the reigning champions of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, who are set to showcase their talents on this significant regional stage.

The WAFUB Secretariat has also emphasized its readiness to assist clubs and national federations with any further information or clarifications they may require.
This support ensures all parties remain well-informed and confident heading into the qualifiers, reinforcing the collaborative spirit essential for the tournament’s success.
