The Senior Policy Manager of Web Foundation, Nanjira Sambuli has said African Governments must draft policies aimed at maximising the economic potentials of ICT.
She told Business news in Accra that, this will not only boost economic activities within the Africa Region, but create employment for the youths as well.
Madam Sambuli added that African Governments must make sure that policies they have in their country are gender responsive to advance digital access. She also called for effective collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure a rapid digital transformation of the continent.
“African governments have a simple job to do to make sure that this economy takes off. That is going back to their policies and making sure they are gender responsive.  Those policies are important because they are also signal to what private sector players do, development partners do,” she noted.
